Exercise is only half the battle when it comes to being healthy. Believe it or not, diet contributes way more to our total health than exercise. The problem many people face is that they’re eating the wrong things, and often they are eating way too much. Eating more frequent small meals and snacks through out the day keeps your metabolism going and stomach full. Did you know that your body can only process so much food at one time before converting the excess to fat? Eating too much at one time will not only weigh you down and cause a sluggish feel but make it harder for the body to digest.
Variety is important to a healthy diet to avoid boredom and provide the body with a variety of nutrients. Take an apple and an orange for example. Both are fruits while an orange would provide a better source of Vitamin C than an apple. So, if you have chicken for lunch try to have fish for dinner.
It is important to lean towards foods that are not processed. I promise you will feel a significant change in how you feel everyday and be surprised at how much energy you have after by doing so.
